- Conduct psychological screenings and assessments using available records and clinical interviews
- Develop, implement, and modify individual treatment plans based on evaluation and functional needs
- Provide counseling and crisis-focused interventions, including confrontation avoidance strategies when needed
- Participate in a multidisciplinary mental health team by coordinating with clinicians such as psychiatry, nursing, social work, and others to support integrated care
- Perform regular rounds in segregation or other confined housing areas to assess adjustment and treatment needs
- Deliver treatment using established psychological counseling theories and techniques appropriate to assigned caseloads
- Consult with cross-functional staff (e.g., psychiatry, medical, educational, chaplaincy, and security) to understand drivers of escalated behaviors and changes in mental health condition
- Board eligibility documentation (required to qualify for privileges)
- Ability to meet facility clearance requirements (US citizenship required for ICE clearance per posting context)
- BLS that meets facility compliance requirements, or completed pending BLS attestation (as applicable)
