What You’ll Do

• Conduct psychological screenings and assessments using available records and clinical interviews.
• Provide mental health treatment by developing, implementing, and updating individualized treatment plans.
• Participate as part of a mental health team by consulting with psychiatrists and other clinical staff to support integrated care.
• Make regular rounds in segregation or other confined housing areas to assess adjustment and treatment needs.
• Use psychological counseling theory and techniques to deliver appropriate interventions for individuals in your caseload.
• Provide crisis-focused mental health assessments and counseling, including interventions to support de-escalation.
• Coordinate and consult with relevant staff (psychiatry, nursing, medical, social work, education, chaplaincy, security) to understand triggers for behavioral escalation and mental health changes.
