Project ManagerManage impactful federal, public, and JOC projects throughout Chicagoland. Join one of the nation's leading general contractors with a strong public sector.Our client is a growing, veteran-owned general contractor specializing in federal and government construction projects throughout the Midwest. With a strong backlog of awarded work and an impressive pipeline extending well into next year, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to help lead multiple high-profile projects and play a key role in the company's continued growth. This is an opportunity to join a close-knit team where you'll have direct exposure to executive leadership, real influence over project success, and a clear path for long-term career advancement.Job DescriptionAs a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing federal construction projects from preconstruction through closeout while serving as the primary point of contact for clients, field teams, and project stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:Manage multiple federal construction projects from inception through completion
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts
Coordinate closely with Superintendents to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget
Build and maintain strong relationships with federal clients through regular onsite meetings
Lead subcontractor coordination, contract administration, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
Monitor project financials, forecasting, and reporting
Ensure compliance with all federal contract requirements, quality standards, and safety regulations
Collaborate with executive leadership on project strategy and execution

Proven experience managing federal or government construction projects
Experience working directly with federal agencies or government clients
Strong client-facing communication and relationship management skills
Experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and project documentation
Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
