About the Role:
Job Summary
Responsible for creative planning, coordination and implementation of all aspects of promotional plans to assist System services with promotional needs.Responsibilities also include the coordination of hospital publications, development of special purpose collateral pieces, coordination of special events and health education programs, assistance with media relations and other duties as assigned.Requires excellent writing and proofreading skills, creative concepting, art direction and event planning skills.Responsible for effectively maintaining the organization's brand.

Licensure or other certifications:
Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in communication related field
Minimum Experience: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and web content management

Preferred Experience: Experience with Quark, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator beneficial

Strong writing skills across all media (print, web, presentations, etc.), as well as expert proofreading skills
Knowledge of online advertising and promotion (social media, online advertising, search engine optimization)
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Good media relations skills, including crisis management and knowledge of AP Style guidelines
Must provide strong attention to detail and follow-through
Demonstrates knowledge of design principles and creative concepts to coordinate with graphic designers to ensure effective design of brochures, ads, publications, signs, etc.
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and requests simultaneously within assigned deadlines including coordinating production of advertising and support materials such as print ads, direct mails and brochures.Updates service line web content as needed
Acts as art director for photo shoots, working with professional photographers as needed to enhance appeal of promotional materials
Prepares copy for hospital publications and other communication materials in accordance with assigned deadlines
Acts as editor for assigned hospital publications, such as Friday Flier
Coordinates media relations including releasing patient information in accordance with hospital policy, writing and distributing press releases and coordinating requests for media interviews
Schedules speakers for public presentations and coordinates special events such as community education programs.
Works to establish positive working relationships with service managers by establishing and meeting deadlines, scheduling, attending or leading necessary meetings. Handles promotion requests from service managers as well as PR specialists within the department to contribute to service line marketing plans.
Keeps PR Director, Manager and appropriate PR specialists abreast of specific issues which may require intervention by Director or other management
Coordinates online advertising and promotion through social media, online advertising and search engine optimization
