Job Description

Join the City of Washington and help keep public spaces clean, safe, and looking great. We are looking for candidates with the ability to work a seasonal, full-time role from May through October.

You'll mow and maintain City properties, clear brush and debris, assist with landscaping and repairs, and operate equipment like mowers, chainsaws, and tractors. Applicants must be eighteen (18) years of age or older and experience with lawncare equipment is preferred.

Job Requirements:

  • Enjoyment of outdoor work in all kinds of weather
  • Ability to safely use (or learn) tools and equipment
  • Ready to learn and takes direction well
  • Strong teamwork and reliability
  • Valid Illinois driver's license
