Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Purchaser to join our team. This position is responsible for supporting the procurement process by ensuring the timely and cost‑effective purchase of goods and services. The Purchaser will work closely with internal departments and suppliers to place and track cost effective purchase orders, maintain accurate records, and assist in resolving purchasing issues in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Essential Job Functions:
- Source suppliers and negotiate pricing, delivery, and terms within established guidelines.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
- Coordinate with internal departments to understand and fulfill procurement needs.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and lead times.
- Place purchase orders and monitor order status for multiple departments.
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve delivery, quality, and invoicing discrepancies.
- Maintain effective working relationships with existing and new suppliers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of supply chain and purchasing principles.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and applicable ERP or procurement systems.
