PWI R&D Mechanical Design Manager

We have revolutionized the digital web press industry by offering full-color, variable data printing at unprecedented speeds and media widths in both Commercial and Packaging markets. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to apply leadership, passion, and knowledge to Program Manage PWP’s newest press platform.

As Mechanical Design Manager, you will lead the ME R&D team and be responsible for developing our next generation of products. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a team of mechanical design engineers, supporting their career development and growth.

  • Driving mechanical design aspects of the hardware platform and product development from concept to release, coordinating with development partners across R&D, Marketing, CA, and Operations.

  • Developing the R&D ME team strategy, resource plan, and priority mapping.

  • Supporting mechanical design needs and smaller projects as needed.

  • Leading and supporting existing or new team technical roadmaps, establishing new technologies and strategies.

  • Collaborating with program managers, CA, Procurement and Supply Chain, and Marketing.

  • Supporting customers before and after ER transfer as necessary.

  • Owning the PWI capital budget, partnering across the organization to establish, track, and implement capital projects.

  • Leading the PWI test bed strategy team, determining long-term in-house press needs.

  • Representing PWI to site planning teams for internal installation planning and execution.

  • Academic Qualifications: BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and Design.

Salary

The pay range for this role is$130,700to$205,200USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Benefits:HP offers a comprehensive benefits package for this position, including:
