Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Python Web Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications and backend services using Python. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Python web frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI, along with RESTful APIs, relational databases, and modern web development practices.

The Python Web Developer will collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, product managers, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performance web applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain web applications using Python.

• Develop backend services using Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

• Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate applications with internal and external services.

• Develop reusable, scalable, and maintainable application components.

• Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.

• Design database models and write efficient SQL queries.

• Use Object Relational Mapping (ORM) technologies such as Django ORM or SQLAlchemy.

• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and services.

• Work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies when required.

• Implement authentication, authorization, session management, and role-based access controls.

• Process and exchange application data using JSON and other standard formats.

• Implement server-side business logic according to functional and technical requirements.

• Write clean, efficient, reusable, and well-documented Python code.

• Troubleshoot application defects, API failures, database issues, and performance problems.

• Optimize web applications for performance, scalability, security, and reliability.

• Develop and execute unit and integration tests.

• Collaborate with QA engineers to identify, reproduce, and resolve software defects.

• Participate in code reviews and follow established software development best practices.

• Use Git or similar version-control systems for source-code management.

• Support application builds, deployments, and CI/CD processes.

• Work with Docker and containerized application environments when required.

• Collaborate with DevOps teams for cloud deployment and production support.

• Maintain technical documentation for applications, APIs, and development processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum 3 years of professional Python development experience.

• Strong programming experience with Python.

• Hands-on experience with Django, Flask, FastAPI, or another Python web framework.

• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and development.

• Experience integrating third-party APIs and web services.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.

• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.

• Strong SQL skills and knowledge of database design.

• Experience with ORM technologies such as Django ORM or SQLAlchemy.

• Understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, web requests, sessions, cookies, and web application architecture.

• Experience with JSON-based data processing and API communication.

• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Experience using Git and standard version-control workflows.

• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Django REST Framework.

• Hands-on experience with FastAPI.

• Knowledge of asynchronous Python programming.

• Experience with Celery or other background task-processing frameworks.

• Experience with Redis or similar caching technologies.

• Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.

• Experience with Docker and containerized applications.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD.

• Experience with Nginx, Gunicorn, or similar web/application servers.

• Familiarity with pytest or unittest for automated testing.

• Understanding of web application security best practices.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
