Senior QA Analyst – Cyber Data Operations

= Location: Charlotte, NC= Position Type: ContractLevel: Senior

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior QA Analyst to support the Cyber Data Operations team within ISDAD. This role will contribute to QA testing efforts for CyberDW and Cyber Data Dashboards, including designing and executing test cases, identifying and tracking defects, and maintaining regression test plans, cases, and scripts.

The Senior QA Analyst will help ensure the delivery of reliable, high-quality systems by identifying defects, validating data and functionality, and confirming that business and technical requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements.
Perform manual and automated testing across functional, regression, integration, system, performance, and user acceptance testing phases.
Identify, document, report, and track defects through resolution.
Collaborate with developers and technical teams to investigate and resolve defects.
Ensure requirements traceability and maintain accurate testing documentation.
Create and maintain regression test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts.
Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings with the CyberDW team.
Provide feedback regarding system usability, stability, and overall quality.
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, testing methodologies, and tools.
Identify, evaluate, and manage testing documentation and deliverables required for project testing and automation.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Data Testing, ETL/ELT Testing, Data Engineering, or a related discipline.
5+ years of experience leading QA efforts for enterprise data warehouse, data lake, or lakehouse platforms.
Strong hands-on experience with Databricks and testing data pipelines in cloud-based data platforms.
Advanced proficiency in SQL and Spark SQL for complex data validation, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis.
Hands-on experience with Python, PySpark, and Pandas for test automation, data validation, profiling, and analysis.
Hands-on experience testing and validating REST APIs using Postman or similar API testing tools.
Strong experience testing ETL/ELT pipelines, data transformations, and source-to-target mappings.

- Functional testing
- Integration testing
- Regression testing
- System testing
- Performance testing
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
