Job Description

Immediate need for a talented QA Associate | Quality Assurance Associate | GMP Quality Specialist. This is a 06+ Months Contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Los Angeles, CA (Onsite). (Benefits vary by vendor and assignment.). Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide QA oversight and approval of Deviations, OOS investigations, and Change Controls.
  • Review quality records to ensure investigations are thorough, properly documented, and completed within required timelines.
  • Provide QA oversight for CAPA and Effectiveness Verification (EV) records.
  • Ensure quality events are appropriately escalated according to established procedures.
  • Support investigations involving manufacturing processes, in-process products, final products, environmental conditions, facilities, equipment, and materials.
  • Partner with Manufacturing and QC teams to identify root causes and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Review and approve quality documentation in accordance with GMP requirements and site procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Deviation and CAPA processes while maintaining compliance.
  • Support continuous improvement and quality system initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams regarding quality risks, investigations, and required actions.
  • Manage multiple quality activities and changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Perform additional QA duties as assigned.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
  • Master's degree in Biological Sciences or related field; OR
  • Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience; OR
  • Associate's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience; OR
  • High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Required Experience
  • Experience working in a GMP/cGMP regulated environment.
  • Experience with one or more of the following:
  • Deviations
  • OOS / Out-of-Specification investigations
  • CAPA
  • Change Control
  • Quality investigations
  • Manufacturing quality support
  • Strong understanding of GMP compliance and documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Preferred Experience
  • Biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, biologics, or cell/gene therapy experience.
  • Quality Control experience in:
  • Microbiology
  • Virology
  • Analytical testing
  • Experience with U.S. and/or EU GMP requirements.
  • Experience with manufacturing investigations and quality systems.
  • Experience with root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Experience supporting environmental, facility, equipment, or material-related quality investigations.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organization and time-management abilities.
