Job Description
Location: The primary work location will be 701 W 51st Street, Austin, TX 78751. The program will only accept LOCAL ONLY candidates for this position. Mon-Tues (ONSITE) --- Wed-Fri (REMOTE).Job Type: ContractWe are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer III to support a Texas state agency application used for contract operations, reporting, monitoring, and compliance activities. This role will focus on developing and maintaining automated and manual test scripts, supporting Agile development efforts, and helping ensure application quality across dev, test, UAT, and production environments.What You’ ll DoDevelop and maintain automated test cases using Playwright or similar toolsCreate and maintain manual and automated test scriptsPerform manual testing as neededTrack test case execution and provide reportingEstablish automated testing schedules and reporting processesUse Jira to log, track, and manage defectsDevelop and maintain requirements traceability matricesSupport testing across dev, test, UAT, and production environmentsTroubleshoot test cases and testing issues as neededLead UAT testing activities when requiredProvide on-call support as neededRequired Qualifications10+ years of manual test script execution experience8+ years of automated QA testing experience8+ years of QA test script creation experience8+ years of performance testing experienceExperience working in an Agile environmentStrong ability to work independently on complex QA tasksExcellent documentation and defect-tracking skillsPreferred Qualifications5+ years of QA automated test case reporting experienceExperience with JavaScript, HTML, Playwright, WebdriverIO, or JMeterExperience with Agile, Scrum, Jira, XRay, or ZephyrAccessibility testing experienceIdeal CandidateThe ideal candidate is a senior-level QA professional with strong automation experience, solid manual testing skills, and the ability to support complex application testing efforts with minimal supervision. This person should be comfortable working in an Agile environment, collaborating with development teams, and leading UAT efforts when needed.
