- We are seeking an experienced QA Inspector to support a high-profile federal construction project in the Albany, NY area. This is a critical role on a M fire station build, requiring a professional who can operate effectively in both field and office environments.
- This position will serve as the eyes and ears on-site, ensuring quality standards are met while coordinating closely with project engineers and government stakeholders.
- Perform quality assurance inspections following a 3-phase inspection process
- Act as on-site QA representative (non-directive role to contractors)
- Identify, document, and escalate quality issues
- Collaborate with: Project Engineers, Government representatives
- Review and respond to: RFIs (Requests for Information), Submittals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
- Support both field operations and administrative/project documentation
- 10+ years of construction experience
- Minimum 5+ years handling RFIs and submittals
- Proven ability to work across field and office functions
- Experience in Quality Assurance (QA) or Quality Control (QC)
- Active CAT Card required (must have prior to start)
- Ability to pass (or prior completion of) a federal background check
