Job Description

Johnson Service Group is looking for a PC Board inspector, on swing shift for our client in Milpitas, CA.The QA Inspector is responsible for verifying compliance of finished assemblies with drawing requirements based on customer and industry standards. Will be inspecting PCB's. IPC 610 certification required. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all products meet IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, customer, and industry specifications.
  • Perform PCBA and box-level inspections, including First Article Reports, using supporting documentation.
  • Conduct product inspections with various tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.).
  • Verify installation and positioning of new/replacement parts and components.
  • Analyze and interpret inspection data; estimate and record operational results.
  • Support engineering with root cause analysis for products and processes.
  • Perform incoming material inspections to confirm compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborate with team members to review inspection results and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide inspection support on the production floor and assist with MRB processes.
  • Maintain compliance with ESD procedures and company SOPs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in alignment with training, standards, and requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year of quality inspection experience in PCBA and mechanical EMS environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • IPC certification required; experience inspecting per IPC/customer standards.
  • Skilled in component verification, mechanical measurements, and supplier receiving inspections.
  • Familiarity with Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and quality engineering inspection methods.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel); basic-to-intermediate computer skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities; detail-oriented.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse teams.
  • Professional, courteous, and effective in interactions with employees, clients, vendors, and external representatives.
  • Preferred: Training in IPC610, J-STD-001, ISO standards. Rate starting at $21-25/hr. contract to hire
