Job Description

QA/QC Manager – Data Center CommissioningLocation: Nationwide Travel (17 Days On / 4 Days Off Rotation)Industry: Electrical Construction | Mission Critical | Data CentersEmployment Type: Full-TimePosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to lead electrical quality assurance and commissioning efforts on large-scale data center and mission critical construction projects across the United States.This role is responsible for ensuring that all electrical systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in compliance with project specifications and industry standards. The ideal candidate has strong experience with data center electrical infrastructure, including switchgear, UPS systems, generators, and power distribution equipment.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead QA/QC processes on data center electrical construction projects
  • Oversee commissioning of critical electrical systems, including:
    • Switchgear
    • UPS systems
    • Backup generators
    • Power distribution systems* *
    • LV/MV/HV*
  • Ensure compliance with NETA, NFPA, NEC, and IEEE standards*
  • Perform L1–L5 commissioning activities (Factory Testing, Pre-installation, pre-commissioning, functional performance testing, system integrated testing)*
  • Review electrical drawings, specifications, and commissioning plans
  • Conduct inspections and system verification
  • Document deficiencies and manage corrective actions
  • Coordinate with project managers, field teams, engineers, and clients
  • Maintain accurate commissioning and QA/QC documentation
  • Support final turnover and client acceptance
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in QA/QC or electrical commissioning
  • Direct experience working on data centers or other mission critical facilities
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and power infrastructure
  • Familiarity with NETA testing standards
  • Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and IEEE codes
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage documentation and reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred, not required
Travel & Work Environment
  • 100% travel required (17 days on / 4 days off rotation)
  • Work performed in active construction environments
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions depending on project location
  • PPE required at all times
  • Must be able to work extended hours or night shifts as needed
