Job Description

Quality Technician Intern

Packet Digital is looking for a Quality Technician Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in a lithium-ion battery manufacturing environment. This internship is a great opportunity for students interested in chemistry, materials science, or engineering to apply what they're learning in class to real-world laboratory work.

What You'll Learn & Do

  • Help set up, calibrate, and operate laboratory equipment used for raw-material testing
  • Perform incoming material tests and record results accurately
  • Use analytical tools such as particle size analyzers, SEM, BET surface area analyzers, and titrators
  • Support the creation and maintenance of lab SOPs and work instructions
  • Analyze test data and assist with reports for engineering and quality teams
  • Work closely with quality, engineering, and manufacturing teams
  • Help keep the lab organized, safe, and compliant

Who Should Apply

Required

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and interest in laboratory work
  • Ability to follow procedures and document results clearly
  • Willingness to learn new equipment and techniques

Preferred

  • Final-year students graduating within the next academic year
  • Prior academic or internship lab experience
  • Basic experience with spreadsheets or data analysis tools

Work Environment

This is an on-site internship at our main office. You'll work in a collaborative, supportive environment and gain valuable experience in battery manufacturing and quality operations.
