QA Test Lead PKI / Certificate Lifecycle

Request ID: 106641-1 Title: QA Test Lead PKI / Certificate Lifecycle Location:Cleveland OHDuration: 6 months Pay Range: $40 - $45/Hour on W2/C2C (All inclusive) We are seeking an experienced Lead QA Test Manager with strong expertise in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Certificate Management, and Security Testing. The candidate will be responsible for leading end-to-end testing activities for certificate management and PKI-related projects, ensuring quality, security, compliance, and reliability across certificate lifecycle processes and integrated environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end testing activities for Certificate Management and PKI-related projects.
• Define and execute comprehensive Test Strategies, Test Plans, Test Scenarios, Test Cases, and Test Execution approaches.
• Validate complete certificate lifecycle processes, including certificate issuance, renewal, revocation, expiration, deployment, and compliance monitoring.
• Lead SIT, E2E, UAT, Regression, Integration, and Security Testing activities.
• Validate integrations between certificate management platforms, applications, cloud environments, web servers, load balancers, and security tools.
• Collaborate with Security, Infrastructure, Network, Application Development, and Operations teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Manage defect lifecycle, including defect tracking, triage, root cause analysis, prioritization, and resolution.
• Identify and manage testing risks, dependencies, issues, and project deliverables.
• Prepare and provide regular testing status reports, quality metrics, defect metrics, and test progress updates to project stakeholders.
• Ensure testing activities align with security, compliance, and organizational quality standards.
• Mentor QA team members and establish testing best practices, processes, and standards.
• Drive adoption of test automation to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and release quality.
• Support continuous improvement of QA processes and testing methodologies.

Required Skills

• 6 8 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Test Management.
• Strong experience in Test Management and Test Leadership.
• Hands-on experience with Security Testing and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
• Strong understanding of Certificate Management and certificate lifecycle processes.
• Experience with API Testing using REST and SOAP.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database validation.
• Proficiency with Linux/Unix command-line utilities.
• Good understanding of networking and security concepts, including:

  • Load Balancers
  • HTTPS
  • TLS/SSL
  • Firewalls
  • Web Servers
• Experience validating integrations across applications, infrastructure, cloud platforms, and security environments.
• Experience with test and defect management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, ALM, or similar platforms.
• Strong experience in SIT, E2E, UAT, Regression, Integration, and Security Testing.
• Excellent defect management, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with PKI platforms and Certificate Management solutions.
• Knowledge of digital certificates, Certificate Authorities (CA), certificate chains, and key management concepts.
• Experience testing certificate deployment across web servers, application servers, load balancers, and cloud environments.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting.
• Knowledge of security and compliance requirements related to certificate management.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Relevant QA, Security, or PKI certifications are a plus.
