QUALITY ASSURANCE & INCIDENT MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

The Role: DDI's Quality Assurance and Incident Management Specialist assists the Quality Assurance team by assisting with all aspects of audits, incidents, and investigations. The QA and IM Specialist maintains copies of incident reports and participates in agency reviews of incidents for various committees. 

Salary Range: $20.09 - $24.11/hour

What You'll Do:

  • Compile material and work products associated with Agency audits, incidents, and investigations under supervision of the Director/Assistant Director of Quality Assurance.  
  • Organize and track incidents and responses to investigations, using computer software applications.  Liaison with program staff regarding plans of corrective action and responses to committee and investigation recommendations.
  • Maintain incident reports, assure notification to external authorities of all incidents as required, and participate in special review committees and trainings.
  • Prepare, distribute, and maintain meeting minutes for various committees.
  • Conduct investigations as assigned, both independently and in teams, and complete thorough investigation reports, under supervision of the Director/Assistant Director of Quality Assurance.  
  • Successfully complete certification process for performing ‘Reportable Incident’ investigations through a training organization/curriculum endorsed by OPWDD and NYS Justice Center.  
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

What You Bring To This Role:

  • High School Diploma
  • 1 year of experience in the I/DD field or other healthcare setting
  • Demonstrable experience in using Microsoft Office applications.
