Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Quality Assurance / Configuration Management Lead to join our team! You will work across the product development lifecycle, ensuring the products meet defined quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations while maintaining rigorous control over product baselines, documentation, software/hardware versions, and change management processes. You will create and foster a culture of collaboration, risk mitigation, and excellence through the application of QA and CM practices.

This is a hands-on role on a mission-critical program. Your work directly contributes to matters of national security. You will help the team evolve a TRL-5 prototype system into a TRL-8 product in support of a classified customer pilot deployment as part of a newly formed and growing cyber solutions line of business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead, advocate, and maintain the organization’s quality assurance processes and standards
  • Develop, implement, and improve QA procedures, plans, and metrics
  • Oversee product and process quality throughout development, production, and release
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for quality issues
  • Partner with engineering and operations teams to resolve product and process issues
  • Establish and enforce configuration management policies, procedures, and tools
  • Control product baselines for hardware, software, firmware, and related documentation throughout development, test, deployment and operations
  • Chair or support change control boards and engineering review boards
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, program management, procurement, and customer-facing teams to balance priorities for control and pace

What Required Skills You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Configuration Management, or related engineering support functions
  • Experience with document control, change management, and product lifecycle processes
  • Knowledge of quality systems, audits, CAPA, nonconformance management, and root cause analysis
  • Familiarity with configuration management principles including baselines, revisions, and release controls
  • Experience working with requirements tracking, agile project management, and Product/Application Lifecyle Management systems
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • An active Top Secret security clearance is required for this position.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring

  • Experience in a regulated or highly controlled industry such as aerospace, defense, medical device, automotive, or industrial manufacturing
  • Familiarity with standards such as: ISO 9001, AS9100, CMMI, CMMC
  • Certification(s) such as: ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Configuration Management certification, PMP or similar project leadership credential
