Job SummaryUnder the direction of the Director of Quality - North America, the Quality Control Lead Supervisor is a senior-level role responsible for overseeing day-to-day quality control activities and leading the technician and lab teams to ensure that all quality processes run smoothly. This position handles escalated quality issues, coordinates team schedules, supports training and development, oversees team performance, and maintains compliance with established quality standards. The Lead Supervisor also provides backup coverage for technical and administrative quality functions and plays a key role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This will be achieved while maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation.Essential Functions
Ensure that outgoing and incoming shift transitions are effectively managed, quality events are passed along, escalated as appropriate, and that they are effectively managed to maintain seamless quality support across all shifts.Provide direction and agenda items for quality shift meetings that communicate quality event escalations, hold tickets, and provide common quality focus across all shifts.Provide priorities and focus for the shift production control teams based on production planning, customer complaints, hold process, and controlled shipping needs.Work with the production team to develop and maintain a process for establishing a bench of qualified candidates to address daily staff shortages and maintain the designated staffing levels for the production control teams.Monitor and approve escalation activities associated with Back Tracking, Red Stamp, and Hold Ticket processes to confirm the proper execution of the associated processes.Support escalated quality concerns and coordinate with production and engineering for resolution.Ensure that production control teams maintain schedules to ensure appropriate quality coverage to support production, including any necessary overtime.Develop and assign training plans for new quality team members, provide necessary records, and support their ongoing development.Continually monitor team performance, conduct process audits, reinforce good performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and support any necessary disciplinary actions.Oversee the investigation of escalated accountability concerns, ensure causes are identified, actions are defined, completed, and followed up on. If necessary, manage the escalation / disciplinary process for repeat occurrences.Handle any employee relations concerns from the production control teams prior to the need for escalation.Oversee time and attendance, completing performance / competency evaluations, maintaining competency / training logs, providing feedback, motivation and disciplinary actions for all assigned personnel.Define and maintain appropriate staffing levels to support the production control and testing needs in support of the specified Control Plans.Participate in Red Bin reviews to ensure proper disposition decisions are made and carried out for any hold tickets generated by the production control team.Lead the Red Stamp review activities based on production control escalations, confirm decision making, or facilitate the activities required for overturned / denied Red Stamp status.Represent the quality control function by reporting on internal nonconformances (hold tickets) activities during the daily huddle meetings.Define and maintain job descriptions for roles within the area of responsibility.Define, maintain, and control documentation required for effective production control and production testing processes.Establish goals and objectives with designated personnel, work with them to create plans for their achievement, perform status reviews, and review and approve their completion.Ensure personnel making decisions based on "subjective" criteria (visual) are properly trained, tested, and qualified to make "suspect" and "nonconformance" decisions.

Success in this role will require
Proficient in MES, SQC PAC, and JDE systems.Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional coordination.Highly organized, with strong recordkeeping and prioritization skills.Strong math skills and high attention to detail.Able to operate lab equipment and interpret testing results.Demonstrated leadership ability with mentoring experience preferred.
What You'll Bring
High school diploma or equivalency, required.5+ years of experience in a quality assurance role in manufacturing or related industry required.Leadership or team coordination experience required.Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.Good vision and color identification required for inspections.Ability to work non-standard hours and respond to shift demands.Must be able to stand for 6-8 hours per shift.
