Job Description
Butterfly Staffing is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to support a federal healthcare infrastructure project in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
This role will manage quality control on a large modernization project inside an active medical facility. The work includes infrastructure upgrades, phased construction, and coordination across electrical, mechanical, communications, and other building systems.
The Quality Control Manager will work closely with project management, field supervision, subcontractors, safety personnel, and government representatives to make sure work meets plans, specifications, contract requirements, and federal quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage the project Quality Control Program and required documentation
- Lead the Three Phase Control process, including Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-up phases
- Review plans, specifications, submittals, and contract requirements
- Coordinate inspections, testing, and QC activities with subcontractors and project staff
- Identify deficiencies and follow corrective actions through completion
- Maintain daily QC reports, inspection records, and other required documentation
- Participate in preparatory meetings, coordination meetings, and government inspections
- Verify materials and completed work meet approved plans, specifications, and submittals
- Work closely with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and SSHO
- Support punch list, turnover, testing, commissioning, and closeout activities
Qualifications
- Federal construction quality control experience
- Experience with VA, USACE, NAVFAC, DoD, or other federal projects preferred
- Healthcare, occupied facility, infrastructure, or phased renovation experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of federal QC procedures, inspections, submittals, testing, and documentation
- Experience coordinating quality control across electrical, mechanical, communications, and other construction scopes
- Experience with RMS/QCS or similar federal construction systems preferred
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Certifications
- USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors certification strongly preferred
- OSHA 30 preferred
- EM 385-1-1 familiarity preferred
