Job Description

Quality Control Manager – Federal Construction Projects

A nationally recognized general contractor with a strong portfolio of federal construction projects is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager (QCM) to join their team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring projects meet all contractual quality requirements and are delivered in compliance with federal standards. The ideal candidate will have experience managing quality control on federal projects such as USACE, NAVFAC, VA, or other Department of Defense work.

This role requires travel or relocation to project sites and offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-profile federal construction projects across the country.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with USACE/NAVFAC/DoD quality standards and project specifications
  • Review submittals, RFIs, and contract documents to verify compliance with project requirements
  • Coordinate and lead quality control meetings, inspections, and testing activities
  • Maintain quality control documentation including daily reports, inspection logs, testing records, and deficiency tracking
  • Work closely with project management, field teams, subcontractors, and government representatives to maintain project quality standards
  • Ensure corrective actions are implemented and deficiencies are resolved promptly
  • Assist in preparation for government inspections, audits, and project closeout documentation

Qualifications

  • Experience serving as Quality Control Manager on federal construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of USACE EM 385-1-1 standards, RMS/QCS, and federal quality control requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents
  • Experience coordinating inspections, testing, and documentation required on federal projects
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work with government representatives and project teams
  • Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, RMS, QCS, or similar platforms

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience on projects involving military facilities, healthcare, infrastructure, or large federal installations
