We’re building more than infrastructure—we’re building a team that pushes limits and stands behind every job we do.Position: Quality Control Manager (Heavy Civil Construction)Location: Gilbert, AZSalary: $125 - $135k DOEWe are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Manager to join our heavy civil construction company. The selected individual will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance and control systems throughout large-scale infrastructure projects. This role ensures that all construction activities, materials, and finished works comply with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and enforce quality control plans and procedures for civil construction projects
- Lead the quality control team and coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field crews
- Conduct inspections and testing of construction materials, workmanship, and completed structures
- Document and report quality issues, non-conformances, and corrective actions
- Oversee subcontractor and supplier compliance with quality standards
- Collaborate with safety, engineering, and project management teams to ensure integrated quality assurance
- Maintain and analyze quality records, test results, and inspection reports
- Prepare for and participate in regulatory, client, and third-party audits
- Train staff and subcontractors on quality control requirements and best practices
- Monitor adherence to environmental and safety regulations as they relate to quality
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Proven experience in quality control or assurance within heavy civil construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards (e.g., ASTM, AASHTO)
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., DOT, OSHA, EPA)
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams in a fast-paced environment
- Reduction in rework, defects, and non-conformances
- Successful completion of audits and inspections
- Timely and accurate quality documentation
- Compliance with client and regulatory quality standards
- Director of Operations, Project Executive, or Construction Manager (depending on project structure)
