Position Summary...
What you'll do...
Join a high-impact supply chain team that ensures fresh, high-quality produce gets to our customers safely, efficiently, and on time. In this role, you’ll lead critical distribution center operations with a special focus on quality, food safety, and fruit ripening — using data, technology, and strong partnerships to drive results across the network. What You’ll Do- Lead and oversee day-to-day warehouse and distribution center operations, including the fruit ripening program (bananas, avocados, and other ripening produce), to meet quality, color, and maturity targets.
- Evaluate warehouse quality and cold chain performance using key performance indicators, and identify opportunities to improve quality and compliance.
- Own quality control and food safety for inbound, storage, and outbound processes by designing and implementing compliance testing, resolving complex quality issues, and ensuring adherence to cold chain and sanitary handling standards.
- Use data and digital tools to validate data quality, generate insights, and create clear, impactful reports that inform decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
- Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures, documentation, and record-keeping practices that support regulatory requirements and operational excellence.
- Build and nurture strong cross-functional partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor who influences decisions, aligns on shared goals, and drives strategic business outcomes.
- Bring solid experience in warehouse or distribution center operations, especially in fresh or perishable products, and understand ripening, handling, and quality requirements for produce.
- Are an influential communicator who can confidently lead discussions with diverse viewpoints, leverage data and analytics to tell a compelling story, and drive alignment across teams and divisions.
- Have strong data and digital literacy skills — comfortable working with analytics and visualization tools, partnering with data science teams, and using insights to enable real-time, data-led decisions.
- Are passionate about operational excellence and business process improvement, with a track record of designing better ways of working, leading change, and coaching others to adopt new processes.
- Thrive in complex, fast-paced environments, demonstrate sound judgment when faced with ambiguous information, and actively seek and provide timely, constructive feedback to help teams grow.
