Job Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTIONEnsures aircraft maintenance, modification, products, and services conform to applicable contractual, regulatory, technical-data, and quality-management-system requirements.DUTIESSupport and promote the Company's quality objectives and promote a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous Inspect completed and in-process aircraft maintenance and modification activities; document results in accordance with contract and company Perform first article inspections and interpret drawings, schematics, blueprints, specifications, and current approved technical Inspect, test, and measure materials, products, installations, and workmanship using appropriate mechanical and electrical inspection equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other applicable tools.Operate and maintain inspection equipment such as fuel lower explosive limit (LEL) monitors, borescopes, scales, and related devices; verify equipment is serviceable and within calibration when required.Identify and document nonconformities, communicate findings, and coordinate with production leadership on containment and corrective Maintain accurate, traceable inspection and quality records in paper or electronic Monitor adherence to approved procedures and safety requirements; promptly report violations or conditions that could affect product quality or personnel Provide technical guidance to production personnel and perform other related duties as EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or recognized Secret Security ClearanceAt least 8 years of aircraft maintenance experience, relevant education or military experience may be considered where contract requirements Demonstrated experience performing aircraft inspections in an AS9110 or comparable aviation quality-management-system Knowledge and understanding of DCMA 1CAbility to interpret applicable technical orders, drawings, specifications, contractual requirements, and current revisions of AS9110 and applicable military or customer Working knowledge of aircraft mechanical and avionics systems, aviation terminology, precision measurement, inspection methods, calibration controls, and quality-record Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Ability to communicate clearly, exercise sound judgment, and work effectively with production, engineering, program, and quality PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS3 years of progressive quality assurance or quality control experience;Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands below are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of the position.
