Harco Fittings LLC, founded in 1966 in Lynchburg, Virginia is a producer of gasketed joint injection- molded PVC and push-on gasketed joint ductile fittings. Our Harco locations span across seven states in the US. Are you looking for an opportunity to be a part of a dynamic and growing team?

We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Quality Assurance Tech. This role is based in our facility in Lynchburg, Virginia, and reports to the Quality Assurance Supervisor.

Job Summary

As a Quality Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring our products meet rigorous standards for usability, safety, and performance. Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive work environment through training, adherence to policies, and proactive housekeeping.
  • Perform inspection activities using PI tape, micrometers, and ovality gauges.
  • Ensure tools and equipment meet company standards.
  • Identify and resolve product quality issues.
  • Validate impact and skin testing processes.
  • Investigate non-conforming products and support corrective actions.
  • Support and mentor operators in quality procedures.
  • Collaborate on material trials and new product evaluations.
  • Monitor production output and run conditions to ensure compliance.
  • Complete documentation and quality reporting accurately.
  • Develop a strong understanding of operational processes and safety protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1-4 years of experience in a quality assurance or technician role.
  • Proficient in using hand tools.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, lift, and perform tasks for extended periods.
  • Must be able to wear required PPE (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection).
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts and perform repetitive motions.

Work Environment

  • Working on raised surfaces (ladders, machines, work platforms)
  • Regular work in a fluctuating temperature environment (indoor & outdoor).
  • Exposure to grease, dirt, and some industrial chemicals.
  • The use of standard personal protective equipment is used and includes some of the following: safety glasses and splash shield, gloves and apron, safety shoes, harness, Hi-Vis clothing.
