Job Description

Position Title – Quality Control Technician

Location: (Edmond, OK)

This position is responsible for sampling, testing, and inspecting construction materials or elements in both a laboratory and field setting to ensure compliance with specifications and Duit Holdings, Inc. requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality control testing as required by State and local agencies and follow Duit Holdings, Inc. procedures to ensure the highest quality material is produced.
  • Provide test data to the paving superintendent and plant operator.
  • Uphold all aspects of the quality control program to comply with agency specifications.
  • Support and assist internal customers (sales, construction, estimating, operations, and senior management) and external customers by reviewing and providing detailed information and insight on material specifications and test results as requested.
  • Follow directions and instructions from supervisors.
  • Perform various tasks and duties that may change frequently as work conditions require.
  • Work within defined standards of accuracy.
  • Work in various weather conditions, including temperatures ranging from over 95 degrees to below 32 degrees.
  • Work safely, complying with all OSHA and MSHA regulations, as well as Duit Holdings, Inc.'s environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.

Required Skills or Abilities:

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Clean MVR
  • Ability to travel and work overtime, as requested.
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Must be able to read and understand technical manuals and perform tests as required.
  • Ability to pass security clearance for restricted areas.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • On-the-job training offered.
  • Must obtain Oklahoma Highway Construction Materials Technician Certification within six months.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current certification from the Oklahoma Highway Construction Materials Technician Program.
  • Knowledge of construction materials (aggregates/concrete)

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
  • Ability to perform frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Must be able to see and hear well (naturally or with correction).
