Quality Engineering Program Manager

Description -

HP’s Personal Systems Advanced Compute and Solutions (ACS) organization is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual with proven results leading complex programs and large-scale quality improvement initiatives. This person will be pivotal to driving and achieving measurable quality improvements across HP’s Advanced Compute and Solutions products. The candidate will be a recognized leader and apply subject matter expertise to solve common and complex field product quality issues relating to customer experiences. You will utilize various quality tools to monitor and react to trending data and swiftly drive solutions. You will be in the role as a team member or leader providing direction to global cross-functional teams for resolving major product quality issues. This role requires significant independent judgment to identify and engage appropriate HP and external partner engineering resources to drive solutions. In this role you will reside on various product development system teams and be directly accountable and responsible for the quality of the products you manage from conception to obsolescence.

Position can be based at any HP site.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive quality requirements, processes, and practices into the development, design, manufacturing, and continuous improvement of products.

  • Analyzing field quality data to identify trends and leading the engagement with internal and external teams to improve product quality through corrective and preventative action plans and minimizing the impact to customers.

  • Serves as the primary representative for product quality and interface to a variety of teams including but not limited to Customer Support, Account Management, Sales, R&D, System Team Management, and Marketing.

  • Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas in support of achieving operational excellence within the team and helping the team achieve the highest standards of quality and customer experience.

  • Exercises significant independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and criteria for achieving objectives.

  • Communicates program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to stakeholders including at the Executive level.

  • Collaborates with business unit management and internal development, manufacturing, and service delivery partners to recommend and implement changes to products, processes, or business practices to drive continuous improvement and manage program costs.

  • Drives innovation and integration of quality initiatives into projects and activities in the organization.

  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members to set an example of quality program management excellence.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Quality Management, Business Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent.

  • Typically 6-10 years of relevant experience.

  • Proven results leading change efforts and driving product or process improvements with a measurable positive impact on the business.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Intermediate or higher MS Excel user.

  • Experience using Power BI and Tableau.

  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset.

  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data manipulation skills.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and strives for excellence in every task.

  • Confident and comfortable with creating reports and presenting to upper management.

  • Practices good judgement in handling confidential and sensitive information.

  • Excellent track record of leading and influencing teams across multiple different business units.

  • Basic technical understanding of HP Personal Computer (PC) hardware designs, components, and software or other consumer electronic devices.

  • Demonstrated business acumen, understanding of organizational strategy, and successful experience leading change to products and processes.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.

The pay range for this role is$116,150to$182,400USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Benefits:HP offers a comprehensive benefits package for this position, including:
