Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Technician to perform inspections and ensure that all product specifications meet regulatory IDEV standards. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality through detailed mechanical and visual inspections while supporting manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong inspection experience in a manufacturing or medical device environment, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and First Article inspections (mechanical and visual) of:
- Procured materials
- Manufactured products
- Tooling and processes
- Conduct inspections per IDEV documentation, including drawings, specifications, procedures, workmanship standards, and RIIs.
- Create and document inspection routines.
- Train and instruct others on the operation and use of measurement equipment.
- Maintain accurate documentation including:
- Device History Records (DHRs)
- Log sheets and inspection records
- Document non-conformances and assist with yield tracking.
- Analyze inspection findings and help develop solutions to moderately complex quality issues.
- Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to recommend improvements.
- Ensure work meets quality standards for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum 3 years of inspection experience
- Quality certifications such as CMI, CQT, or equivalent highly preferred
Skills & Experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read and write clear instructions and complex sentences in English
- Proficiency with basic arithmetic calculations
- Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Computer skills including:
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Word
- Manufacturing ERP systems
Preferred Technical Skills
- Experience with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines)
- Experience with vision systems
- Experience with MicroView and VU measurement systems
