Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to support production operations by ensuring finished products meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for inspecting, testing, auditing, and documenting product quality throughout the production process. The Quality Inspector will also support new product trials, process validation, and continuous improvement efforts within the plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet or exceed quality specifications.
- Rotate between production lines and perform ongoing quality checks throughout the shift.
- Verify that finished goods are packaged correctly and labeled accurately before transfer to the warehouse.
- Conduct audits and validations of quality and process documentation.
- Collaborate with Production to confirm accuracy of test data and process conditions.
- Communicate mechanical issues or quality concerns to Production and Maintenance teams.
- Support new product trials and perform testing related to product qualification and plant capacity expansion.
- Promote a strong quality culture by reinforcing that quality is a shared responsibility.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and support a safe, team-oriented work environment.
- Follow all plant rules, safety policies, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Solid math skills, including multiplication and averaging
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to complete tasks accurately and thoroughly
Work Environment
- Production environment with heavy machinery
- Warehouse setting
Physical Requirements
- Ability to read letters and numbers and distinguish colors
- Ability to bend, push, and pull
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and move for up to 8 hours per day, with overtime as needed
