Job Title:

Quality Manager

Reporting To:

Manager, Entity- India

Work Schedule:

Onsite- Bangalore, IN

Main responsibilities:

  • Responsible for achieving plant KPI by periodically reviewing, analyzing and taking appropriate actions by effectively collaborating with cross functional teams.
  • Develop, coach and lead team of quality professionals towards meeting the department objectives derived from plant KPI.
  • Responsible for adherence to QMS (ISO 9001, ATEX & IECEx, UL) as management representative. Liaison and facilitate audits with external bodies.
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of QA department across fabrication and Assembly&Test.
  • Responsible for Product, Process (In house and subcon), Supplier and system quality. Evaluate and take action to improve quality plan by implementing appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
  • Responsible for working with global suppliers to achieve "Zero defect" in our process.
  • Responsible for up keeping and managing of precision measuring systems (including Standard room), instruments and equipment's. This includes maintaining inventory in our ERP and managing calibration activity through external vendors.
  • Responsible for interaction with customers during PPAP submittal and to understand the requirements during any customer complaints for taking appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Responsible for driving Process FMEA, CP, PFD, SPC , MSA and other tools with in organization.
  • Responsible for CI within QA by using various LEAN tools.

Authorities:

  • Approval of Leave, PR, PO, Contracts , OPEX/CAPEX as per authorization matrix of MCIPL.
  • Performance Management of his team members.

Qualifications:

Education/degree

  • BE in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Six Sigma Black belt and Certified auditor for ISO9001:2015 is preferable.

Work experience

  • Min 12 years of experience for B.E excluding Training period.
  • Hands on experience in using problem solving tools like 8D, seven qc tools
  • Hands on experience in SPC, MSA, PFMEA
  • Knowledge on GD&T is must

Experience in using Zeiss CMM, Profile projector, hardness tester and other measuring systems

Other skills, experiences or highly desirable qualifications

  • Should have knowledge and understanding of quality management system and experience in developing procedures and work instructions to meet the objective of QMS is a must.
  • Knowledge and understanding of UL insulation systems, ATEX and CSA are desirable.
  • Six sigma / PVR Green Belt is an added advantage
  • The incumbent must be a proficient user of various statistical, spreadsheet, word processing, and database software packages

Must have: English (written and spoken) Desirable: Kannada

Travel Requirements:

Minimal and should be ready to travel to international location
