A bit about us:

We are seeking a hands-on Quality Supervisor to lead daily quality operations within a sheet metal manufacturing environment. This role will oversee a team of 7 quality personnel while working directly on the production floor to ensure product quality, support new program launches, and drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate has strong experience with APQP, problem-solving, and building strong relationships with operators and production teams.

Job Details

Supervise and lead a team of 7 quality technicians/inspectors, providing direction, training, and performance managementServe as a hands-on presence on the shop floor, working closely with operators to identify and resolve quality issues in real timeLead and support APQP activities, including control plans, PFMEA, process validation, and PPAP submissions for new programsDrive successful new product launches, ensuring processes are capable and meet customer requirementsConduct and lead root cause analysis (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone) and implement corrective and preventive actionsEnsure compliance with quality standards, procedures, and customer specificationsDevelop and maintain quality documentation, including inspection plans, work instructions, and process controlsMonitor key quality metrics (scrap, rework, customer complaints) and lead improvement initiativesPartner with production and engineering teams to improve process capability and reduce variationSupport internal and external audits, including customer and certification auditsLead containment activities and customer communication when quality issues arisePromote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and quality ownership across the team
