Job Description

Thermal Engineering International (USA) Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Systems Manager to join our dedicated team. The Quality Systems Manager is responsible to ensure the successful implementation of all quality related TEi, Babcock Power, ISO and ASME systems and procedures, work instructions and forms generating records. Through management of the NCR, CAR and Internal Audit processes, the QSM is responsible for verification of actions taken to address continuous improvement activities, from root cause determination to implementation of corrective or improvement actions through effectiveness validation auditing. The incumbent holds a critical role in driving down the cost of poor quality (COPQ) thereby increasing profitability throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
  • Drive quality improvements and eliminate quality system issues through corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver internal auditor and process improvement training.
  • Monitor and reduce the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) while improving production performance.
  • Analyze performance data and provide regular improvement reports to leadership.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to execute process improvement projects.
  • Improve processes across operations, supply chain, and subcontract manufacturing.
  • Promote and manage organizational change to increase profitability and business growth.
  • Use continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, DMAIC, PDCA, and statistical analysis.
  • Establish systems to track, measure, and sustain process improvements.
  • Focus on improving quality, efficiency, productivity, and overall business profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in a manufacturing or design-for-manufacture environment.
  • Experience in power generation, petrochemical, or chemical equipment manufacturing preferred.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and ISO 9001 auditing, with Auditor/Lead Auditor experience.
  • Familiarity with ASME Section VIII, ASME Section III, 10CFR50 Appendix B, and NQA-1 quality requirements is a plus.
  • Knowledge of welding, fabrication, and non-destructive examination (NDE) of pressure vessels or structural steel is preferred.

Strong computer skills, including:

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Minitab
  • Excel data analysis and chart development
  • PowerPoint presentation creation

Compensation: $110,000 - $120,000 annually DOE
