Job Description

Quality Technician – Temp-to-Hire | $20.50/hr | 1st Shift

Location: Hebron, KY 41048Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM), Monday–Friday (OT available)Pay: $20.50/hourType: Temp-to-Hire (through Precision Staffing)

Precision Staffing is hiring a Quality Technician for a well-established manufacturing company focused on safety, precision, and continuous improvement.

Job Summary

Support the Quality team by performing inspections, ensuring product compliance, documenting results, and assisting with quality and continuous improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities

Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections
Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and finished goods audits
Use measuring tools (calipers, gauges, comparators, hardness/tensile testers)
Read blueprints, work orders, and technical documents
Document inspection results and maintain accurate records
Support NMR/NCR and MRB processes
Assist with 5S and continuous improvement activities
Communicate quality issues with internal teams

Requirements

2+ years of quality or manufacturing experience
Ability to read technical drawings
Experience with inspection tools and measuring equipment
Basic Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
ERP experience preferred (D365 a plus)

Preferred

Root cause analysis experience (5-Why, 8D).
Knowledge of PPAP or pre-production testing.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Education

2-year technical degree OR equivalent manufacturing experience.

Work Environment

Manufacturing and office setting.
Standing, walking, and computer work required.
Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
