Job Description

$15.00 per hour and up! Lube Mechanic / Quick Lube or Prep Technician

To support our continued growth, the Mills Automotive Group has a need to add several Quick Lane / Express Service Technicians to our growing team located at FORD OF HARVEY. This position has starting guaranteed wages at $15.00 per hour, plus immediate opportunities to receive incentives to $22.50 per hour. Ideal candidates MUST HAVE basic automotive background and adequate tools to perform light service on vehicles. Quick Lane or express service experience at an independent or dealer is desirable. DEALERSHIP EXPERIENCE IS NOT REQUIRED.

What You Do:

  • Conduct basic maintenance and filter services on Ford vehicles
  • Oil and filter services
  • Tire rotations, balancing, tire replacements and tire repairs
  • Battery testing and replacement
  • Inspect vehicles for needs and service needs using multi-point inspections and test tools
  • Document and report on items completed and in need of further service via repair order and dealer computer system
  • Complete and attend manufacturer training as required

Successful attributes and skills:

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to be a team player
  • Trainable. This is an entry level position. We will train the right candidates regardless of experience level
  • Outgoing and friendly personality
  • Professional appearance, well maintained personal appearance
  • Technical certification and training a plus

Compensation and benefits:

  • Base pay is a guaranteed 40 hours and starts at $15.00 per hour. Immediate incentives pay at $22.50 per hour from day one!
