Job Title: R&D Technician II Job ID: 18956-1 Location: Arden Hills ,MN (Hybrid) Duration: 06 Months Payrate: $25- $28.00/hr. on W2Job Description: Most testing is mechanical in nature pull testing, flex testing, torque testing, extension/retraction testing with some high voltage/current testing. Most testing is semi-automated with meticulous setup requirements. Electrical/mechanical troubleshooting is uncommon. Attention to detail and the ability to follow protocols and capture data accurately is a must. PC knowledge/experience with Client Word, Excel and file sharing/saving abilities is also required. This role will involve R&D testing of medical products (leads and catheters). A wide range of tests could be performed including x-ray analysis, tensile testing, fatigue testing, and electrical testing. Exact assignment will depend on candidate skills and aptitude. Some testing could be repetitious in nature for short periods; however, there will be a variety of tests and candidate versatility will be important.Quality Systems Duties & Responsibilities: Build quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.Job requirements: HS Diploma or GED required. AA Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline (assembler, operator, test technician) and 1 year of related experience. Recent 4-year degree applicants such as mechanical/electrical engineers will not be considered. Education/Experience/Skills: The ideal candidate will have knowledge of and experience in use of test equipment relating to tensile, force and flex testing. HiPot, microscope measurement and electrical measurement systems. However, if the candidate has past experience operating any type of complex equipment, many of these things can be learned on the job. This position requires a high degree of independence and the ability to read and interpret direction.
