R&D Software Project Manager

Job Description

As the R&D Software Project Manager, you will be responsible for driving the development of medical device interfaces for our connectivity solution. Your responsibilities will include managing a multidisciplinary team (Biomedical Engineers, Developers, Testers) and a multicultural team (USA, France, Bulgaria, India) to plan and execute the connectivity software roadmap.

You will also be able to lead discussions on project scope definitions with partners and medical device manufacturers to facilitate the execution of the roadmap.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive teams to execute the projects roadmap and ensure that projects are delivered within schedule
  • Build and maintain projects plan, indicators and dashboards
  • Initiate and drive meetings with task groups as required on running projects
  • Identify risk areas and determine mitigation actions
  • Provide synthetic status reports of project progress, achievements and issues to all stakeholders
  • Articulates decisions to be taken to keep projects moving forward
  • Gather technical information (communication protocols) from partners
  • Drive discussions to define projects scopes, providing project inputs to development teams

Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

  • Ability to present accurate information succinctly in a compelling manner for a specific project
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to successfully establish and maintain strong working relationships and consensus with all stakeholders not limited to Device Connectivity team.
  • Excellent facilitation, team leadership, problem-solving skills are essential
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong communications, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Autonomous, team player, have strong organizational skills, with a track record of managing multiple projects effectively
  • Endorse the sharing of information, cultivate cooperation and understanding for differing views and perspectives
  • Ability to follow and provide improvement to the Design Control processes from the Quality Management System in place
  • Good relationship capabilities for relationships with customers, suppliers and partners

Minimum education and experience:

  • Fluent in English, French is a plus.
  • BS degree required (Computer Science/Engineering preferred)
  • 3+ years' business experience in a similar role, preferably in the healthcare, automotive, or aeronautics industry
  • Proven experience with project management tools
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Project and VBA (or C#) for Microsoft Office is preferred
  • Experience in agile methodologies is a plus
  • PMP certification through a PMI Certification Board Center or Prince 2 Certification is a plus

This is an office-based job, where you will work from our Paris office.

En tant que R&D Software Project Manager, vous serez responsable de la conduite du développement des interfaces de dispositifs médicaux pour notre solution de connectivité.

Vos responsabilités consisteront à piloter une équipe pluri disciplinaire (Ingénieurs biomédicaux, développeurs, testeurs) et multiculturelle (USA, France, Bulgarie, Inde) afin de planifier et d'exécuter la roadmap des logiciels de connectivité.

Vous pourrez également conduire les discussions relatives à la définition du périmètre des projets avec les partenaires et fabriquant d'appareil médicaux pour faciliter l'exécution de la roadmap.

Responsabilités principales :

  • Piloter les équipes pour exécuter la roadmap des projets et garantir la livraison dans les délais
  • Construire et maintenir les plans, indicateurs et tableaux de bord des projets
  • Initier et animer les réunions avec les groupes de travail selon les besoins
  • Identifier les zones de risque et déterminer les actions de mitigation
  • Fournir des rapports synthétiques sur l'avancement, les réalisations et les problèmes à l'ensemble des parties prenantes
  • Formuler les décisions nécessaires pour faire progresser les projets
  • Rassembler les informations techniques (protocoles de communication) auprès des partenaires en coordination avec le Partnership manager.
  • Conduire les discussions pour définir les périmètres projets et fournir les éléments nécessaires aux équipes de développement
  • Prioriser les projets en fonction des demandes clients et de la criticité des requêtes.

Compétences, expérience et savoir‑faire :

  • Capacité à présenter une information précise de manière concise et percutante
  • Excellentes compétences interpersonnelles et capacité à établir et maintenir des relations de travail solides
  • Excellentes compétences en facilitation, leadership d'équipe et résolution de problèmes
  • Excellentes compétences de communication orale et écrite
  • Solides compétences en communication, présentation et négociation
  • Autonomie, sens de l'organisation et capacité à gérer plusieurs projets simultanément
  • Capacité à partager l'information et encourager la coopération
  • Capacité à suivre et améliorer les processus de contrôle de conception du Système de gestion de la Qualité
  • Bonnes capacités relationnelles avec les clients, fournisseurs et partenaires

Formation et expérience minimale:

  • Maîtrise de l'anglais écrit et parlé
  • Diplôme d'ingénierie ou master requis
  • 3+ ans d'expérience dans un rôle similaire, idéalement dans la santé, l'automobile, l'aéronautique ou tout autre environnement réglementé
  • Bonne connaissance des outils Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint
  • La connaissance d'un langage de programmation est un plus
  • Expérience avec les outils de gestion de projets (MSProject, Jira, GitHub, Monday.com) est un plus
  • Expérience en méthodologies agiles appréciée
  • Certification PMP ou Prince2 appréciée
