Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

As a R&D Senior Manager, you will lead projects in federal research and development ("R&D") tax credits. A successful candidate will be prepared to assist the current leadership in expanding revenue by working with practice offices on existing clients and external opportunities.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Responsible for client and account management, as well as coordination and execution of project tasks

  • Lead technical interviews with client personnel such as scientists and engineers

  • Preparation, completion, review, and packaging of client deliverables, including technical studies, framework memorandums, audit responses, and reports

  • Responsible for completion of Research Tax Credit calculation files, as well as evaluation and classification of qualified time and expenses

  • Leads client site visit activities and evaluates client operations for potential credit opportunities

  • Research case law and attends industry conferences to remain informed on the latest legislation and initiatives

  • Management of technical and financial staff

Supervisory responsibilities

  • Will manage RTC engineers across assigned geographic territories

Work environment

  • Work is conducted in a professional office environment with minimal distractions

Physical demands

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and performing work in front of a computer screen for long periods of time

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time

Travel required

  • Travel may be required to any offices or regions where the RTC team operates

Required education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or product engineering design

  • Strong command of engineering/design concepts, product development concepts and manufacturing concepts with engineering experience

  • Minimum 8 years in a relevant RTC engineering role

  • 5 years people management experience
