Job Description

Title: MRI Technologist (Pediatric Cardiac MRI)Location: San Diego, CaliforniaDuration: 13 weeksShift: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (07:00–15:30), Monday–Friday

Job Responsibilities and Required/Preferred Skills

Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI examinations with strong focus on pediatric cardiac MRI (CMR), including congenital cardiac imaging.

  • Operate MRI scanners and ensure high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient safety.

  • Prepare pediatric patients for imaging procedures and monitor them throughout scans.

  • Follow MRI safety protocols, infection control standards, and PPE guidelines.

  • Conduct image post-processing, multiplanar reconstruction, and advanced MRI techniques.

  • Collaborate with radiologists, cardiology teams, and interdisciplinary support staff.

  • Document imaging procedures and patient information using Epic EMR.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on pediatric cardiac MRI experience in a high-volume, high-complexity pediatric facility.

  • Strong congenital cardiac MRI experience.

  • Experience with Siemens MRI equipment.

  • Epic charting experience.

  • Certifications required:

    • ARMRIT

    • ARRT (R)

    • BLS

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ARRT (MR) certification.

  • ACLS certification.
