Ozarks Community Hospital (OCH), located in Gravette, Arkansas, is seeking a PRN Radiology MRI Technician to join our Radiology department

The Radiology MRI Technician independently, or under the direction of a Radiologist or staff physician is responsible for MRI procedures and patient care requiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in the utilization of prescribed magnet resonance imaging for diagnosis and intervention. Responsibility for routine magnetic resonance imaging and other procedures requiring sound judgement and understanding of anatomical positioning and physiology; with independent selection and modification of technical factors to produce optimum magnet resonance images, while keeping patient welfare, confidentiality, and comfort a top priority. Employees may be directed to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor of Science degree is preferred but not required.
  • Graduation from an approved school of Radiologic Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 1 year of hire.
  • Registered in MRI within 1 year of hire. If unable to meet exam requirements, then must meet with manager to make arrangements to fulfill exam requirements in order to obtain MRI
  • One year of experience under a Board-Certified Radiologist preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Current compliance with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for specialty (ies) as appropriate. Current BLS certification upon hire or BLS certification must be obtained during orientation period or at next available scheduled class. Throughout employment, current BLS certification must be maintained by renewal during renewal period or at next available scheduled class.
