Pay rate ranges from $61.19 to $65.57 based on experience. Short Description:Responsible for coordinating and performing radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision.

- 4pm EST, no holiday or on call

Skills RequiredKnowledge of radiographic examinations and positioning techniques including those procedures that require the use of contrast agentsBasic computer skills, ability to navigate through Windows (Outlook, a plus)Knowledge of radiographic equipment operation and radiation safetyKnowledge of anatomy and medical terminologyInterpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, visitors, and employees within the organizationAbility to handle multiple tasks/projects and meet schedulesDemonstration of ethical and professional conduct
Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepares room, equipment, contrast and materials as needed for patientsCleans and disinfects radiographic room and equipmentPrepares patient for radiographic procedure: explains procedure, assists patient throughout the exam including exiting the roomFollows prescribed techniques in administering specific x-rays in order to obtain diagnostic imagesAble to competently utilize HIS/PACs/RIS software programs.Prints exams on film PRN; participates in department QA programObserves patient and equipment during procedure-reports unusual occurrences and records patient condition as neededMaintains stock supplies and performs general office duties.Active movement through the work day. Standing, sitting, pivoting and walking.
RequirementsGraduate of an accredited radiology technology programLicensed by the New York State Department of HealthCertification by the American Registry of Radiologic TechnologistsFlexibility to work overtime including off-shift duty as needed (evenings and weekends)C-Arm procedure experience preferred
Procedures are primarily injections and ablations of the spine.
Environment OR-like with close interactions with nurses and providers.
