Position Summary: Under the direction of the Chief Technologist performs Radiographic examinations as ordered by the patient's attending physician. Assesses patients, assist the Radiologist in performing fluoroscopic procedures, prepares films for interpretation, maintains patients and departmental records, supplies and equipment. Performs other related duties.Qualifications/Requirements EducationGraduate of a Radiologic Technology ProgramRequired licensures/certifications ARRT registered in good standing Current State of Florida LicenseCurrent BLS CertificationSkills and AbilitiesExcellent Customer Service Skills in order to project a positive image of the department and hospital. ExperienceMust have a good working knowledge of anatomy, understand principles of physics, electricity, and methods of exposure to obtain clearly defined radiographs; and be able to set up and operate all types of equipment that will be used in a modern Radiology Department. Must know how to process radiographs. Should have sufficient knowledge of psychology, patient care, and sterile technique to deal with all types of conditions of patients. Hospital Radiology Technician experience preferred.
