Radiology Tech - PRN

Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our healthcare team to work PRN or as needed. The position will include weekends and on-call for coverage after hours. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and providing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging technologies and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, such as an emergency room setting.

Duties

• Perform various imaging procedures including X-ray and CT scans. Certified sonogram a plus but not required.
• Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians to determine the appropriate diagnostic evaluation based on patient needs.
• Ensure proper positioning of patients to obtain optimal images while minimizing exposure to radiation.
• Maintain knowledge of anatomy and physiology to assist in accurate imaging and diagnosis.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and effectively while adhering to established protocols.
• Document patient information and imaging results accurately in medical records.
• Assist in the training of new staff or students in diagnostic radiology techniques as needed.
• Participate in quality assurance programs and maintain compliance with safety regulations.

ExperienceCandidates should possess experience in the following areas:

• Familiarity with diagnostic radiology practices
• Proficient understanding of medical terminology related to radiology
• Knowledge of emergency medicine protocols
