Job Description

Radiologic Technologist/X-Ray Technologist in Delaware!

Location: Newark, DE/Northern Delaware locations
Schedule: Full-time; no weekends or holidays
Compensation: $27–$40/hour
No weekends/Holidays!

Position overview:

The Radiologic Technologist will provide outpatient orthopaedic imaging services, perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, apply radiation-safety principles, and evaluate images for technical quality. This is a patient-facing position within a busy orthopaedic practice.

Requirements:

ARRT registration
Active Delaware Radiologic Technologist license
Experience working with PACS systems
Strong patient-care and customer-service skills
Ability to position and assist patients, including lifting or supporting patients when necessary
Ability to work professionally with physicians, patients, and other staff members

Responsibilities include:

Performing diagnostic X-rays using the PACS system
Reviewing clinical information before examinations
Preparing the X-ray room and explaining procedures to patients
Positioning patients and adjusting equipment to obtain quality images
Modifying standard views when a patient’s condition requires it
Following radiation-protection procedures
Reviewing images for quality before saving them to the patient’s file
Updating the EMR and PACS
Maintaining a clean, organized imaging area
Assisting with supplies, braces, equipment sterilization, and other departmental needs
