Your day as a Radiology Tech
As a new Radiology Tech at Minden Medical Center, you can expect a fulfilling day filled with patient interactions and technical responsibilities. Your schedule will typically be from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday, allowing you to maintain a consistent work-life balance. Daily tasks will include preparing patients for imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort while explaining the process, and operating advanced radiology equipment.
You will collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare teams to accurately capture images, while following strict protocols to maintain safety and quality standards. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and equipment, and participating in continuous learning to stay updated on the latest advancements in radiology technology. To thrive as a Radiology Tech at Minden Medical Center, candidates must possess a blend of technical and interpersonal skills. A current Louisiana Radiology license is essential, along with relevant experience in the field, ideally complemented by ARRT certification. Familiarity with CT imaging techniques is preferred, as it enhances your capability to address diverse patient needs effectively.
Strong attention to detail is critical for ensuring accurate imaging and maintaining patient safety. Excellent communication skills are necessary for interacting with patients, easing their concerns, and educating them about procedures. Adaptability and a problem-solving mindset will help you navigate the fast-paced environment of healthcare.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Minimum Requirements & Experience: Current Louisiana Radiology license required; experience in radiology preferred; ARRT preferred. CT experience preferred.
