Job Description

Radiologic Technologist - Alternating Weekends: Sat-Mon & Thurs, 8:00 AM-8:30 PM; following week: Tues & Wed, 12-hour shifts

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Radiologic Technologist to join our team for a weekend-based position. This unique role includes a generous sign-on bonus and enhanced weekend pay, making it ideal for professionals who are looking for flexibility while maximizing earnings.

As a key member of our radiology team, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients across both our Horseheads Medical Office Building and Arnot Ogden Medical Center locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic, fluoroscopic, and portable radiographic procedures as ordered by physicians.

  • Ensure accurate patient positioning, operate imaging equipment, and maintain radiation safety protocols.

  • Prepare and administer contrast media for exams.

  • Maintain sterile technique during procedures as needed.

  • Operate portable imaging equipment in various clinical settings.

  • Support administrative tasks including documentation, cleanliness, and departmental cooperation.

  • Actively supervise and mentor Radiologic Technology students.

  • Provide compassionate, age-appropriate care for neonate through geriatric patients.

  • Promote a positive, patient-focused experience by demonstrating Arnot Health's Quality in Action principles.

Qualifications:

  • Required: Current NYS Radiologic Technologist License and ARRT Certification

  • CPR Certification: BLS required within 90 days of hire

  • New graduates welcome to apply!

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent walking and standing (90%+ of the time)

  • Ability to bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and move/stretch patients as needed

  • Operation of mobile radiology equipment and transport of patients
