Job Description

Position Overview

CLFC Healthcare & Communications is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging at a federal correctional institution in Cumberland, Maryland. FCI Cumberland is a medium-security federal correctional institution with an adjacent minimum-security satellite camp in western Maryland, approximately 2.5 hours west of Baltimore. You will operate radiographic equipment, manage radiation safety protocols, and maintain quality control standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations
  • Position patients for optimal image quality while maintaining security awareness
  • Process and quality-check images
  • Maintain equipment per manufacturer specifications
  • Implement ALARA radiation safety protocols
  • Maintain quality control logs and compliance documentation
  • Document procedures in BOP electronic health record
  • Coordinate outside imaging referrals

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology
  • ARRT certification in Radiography
  • Active Maryland radiologic technologist license (or ability to obtain)
  • Current BLS certification
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Ability to pass federal background investigation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional ARRT certifications
  • Correctional or institutional experience

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: $60,000 - $78,000 annually
