Position Overview
CLFC Healthcare & Communications is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging at a federal correctional institution in Oxford, Wisconsin. FCI Oxford is a medium-security federal correctional institution with an adjacent minimum-security satellite camp in rural central Wisconsin. You will operate radiographic equipment to produce diagnostic-quality images, maintain equipment, and manage radiation safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations including chest, extremity, spine, and abdominal imaging
- Position patients for optimal image quality while maintaining security awareness
- Process and quality-check radiographic images before physician interpretation
- Maintain radiographic equipment per manufacturer specifications
- Implement radiation safety protocols including ALARA principles and dosimetry monitoring
- Maintain quality control logs and regulatory compliance documentation
- Document procedures in the BOP electronic health record and PACS system
- Coordinate with outside facilities for advanced imaging studies
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology
- ARRT certification in Radiography
- Active Wisconsin radiologic technologist license (or ability to obtain)
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of clinical radiography experience
- U.S. citizenship required
- Ability to pass federal background investigation
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional ARRT certifications (CT, mammography)
- Correctional or institutional healthcare experience
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $58,000 - $75,000 annually
