Job Description

Position Overview

CLFC Healthcare & Communications is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging at a federal prison camp in Alderson, West Virginia. FPC Alderson is a minimum-security federal prison camp for female inmates in rural southeastern West Virginia. You will operate radiographic equipment to produce diagnostic-quality images and manage radiation safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations including chest, extremity, spine, and abdominal imaging
Position patients for optimal image quality while maintaining security awareness
Process and quality-check images before physician interpretation
Maintain equipment per manufacturer specifications
Implement ALARA radiation safety protocols and dosimetry monitoring
Maintain quality control logs and compliance documentation
Document procedures in the BOP electronic health record
Coordinate outside imaging referrals for advanced studies

Required Qualifications

Associate degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology
ARRT certification in Radiography
Active West Virginia radiologic technologist license (or ability to obtain)
Current BLS certification
U.S. citizenship required
Ability to pass federal background investigation

Preferred Qualifications

Additional ARRT certifications
Correctional or institutional experience
