X-Ray/CT Technologist

Job Requirements
Education Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent.
Certification Requirements
- Valid state licensure as an X-Ray/CT Technologist.*
- CT Certification or ability to obtain CT certification within six months of hire.*
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an X-Ray/CT Technologist.*
- Previous hospital-based imaging experience required.*
- Experience performing both X-ray and CT procedures.*
- Ability to perform approximately 20 CT scans per day, particularly during weekend shifts.
Other Requirements
- Ability to work three 12-hour shifts, including weekends.*
- Strong technical skills with imaging equipment.*
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills.*
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality X-ray and CT imaging procedures in accordance with hospital protocols and safety standards.*
- Provide compassionate, professional patient care throughout imaging procedures.*
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure accurate and timely diagnostic imaging.*
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.*
- Properly position patients and follow radiation safety procedures.*
- Accurately document procedures and patient information in the electronic medical record.*
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and imaging standards.*
- Support weekend and variable-hour coverage based on department needs.
