We care for adults and children and treat a wide range of illnesses and injuries, including respiratory conditions, infections, minor fractures, sprains, and more.Because our patients often come to us when they’re not feeling their best, delivering compassionate, patient-centered care is at the heart of everything we do. Our team is committed to creating a supportive and reassuring experience for every patient we serve.Position OverviewWe are seeking a per diem Radiologic Technologist to join our team onsite at our Urgent Care in Amherst, located at 170 University Drive. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, patient-focused team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where no two days are the same and your work has an immediate impact on patient care.Schedule & FlexibilityEnjoy flexible scheduling within our operating hours. As a 7-day-a-week operation, Urgent Care provides care across days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts if desired.Our primary scheduling need for this role is weekday evening coverage, with priority shifts typically running from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Additional weekend and holiday shifts may also be available for those interested in picking up extra hours.Per diem team members are asked to commit to at least one 4-hour shift per month, though we strive to remain flexible and collaborative when discussing scheduling availability and coverage needs.We recognize the importance of flexibility and welcome conversations around scheduling preferences and availability. Whether you’re looking for supplemental hours, occasional shifts, or a flexible schedule that fits your lifestyle, we encourage you to apply and discuss what may work best for both you and our team.We strive to create schedules that are collaborative, supportive, and mindful of work-life balance while continuing to provide exceptional care to our patients.Key Responsibilities· Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using radiographic equipment while following established safety and imaging protocols.· Explain exams, procedures, and safety expectations to patients in a clear, compassionate, and patient-centered manner.· Confirm patient identity, exam orders, and relevant patient history to ensure accurate imaging and documentation.· Operate a variety of imaging equipment, including portable, fluoroscopic, and diagnostic radiology equipment as needed.· Adjust imaging equipment and technical settings appropriately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images safely and accurately.· Ensure images are properly labeled, documented, and successfully transmitted through PACS systems.· Collaborate effectively with radiologists, providers, and interdisciplinary care teams to support exceptional patient care.· Work primarily within a designated radiography area (Inpatient, Outpatient, or Emergency Department), with opportunities to support additional locations or MGB sites as needed following appropriate training.· Contribute both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment while assisting with additional responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications
EducationCertificate/Diploma Radiography required and Associate's Degree RadiographyLicenses and CredentialsRadiologic Technologist and Technician required
Registered Technologist [R.T.(ARRT)] - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred

ExperienceExperience in radiology technology 0-1 year preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities- Must effectively use interpersonal skills to deal with patients and fellow employees who may be under physical and/or emotional stress. Maintains composure at all times.- Excellent attention to detail, written, and communication skills; must be able to read and write in English.- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, principles of radiation physics, ALARA, radiographic equipment and positioning.- Must be physically capable of lifting a minimum of 40 lbs (i.e., linen, supplies, patients).- Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to emergency and infection control situations.- Displays a positive attitude and professional appearance; exemplifies flexibility and willingness to adapt to the operational needs of the department and MGB.- Board eligible through the American Board of Radiology.
